How to: travel to ski resorts like the French



Recommendation for accessible ski resorts in Western Europe?

I will spend Christmas in Alsace, France and would like to go skiing snowboard for a couple of days after that. The French resorts are too expensive. Any suggestion of a more accessible place for winter sports? In Germany / Austria / Slovenia, perhaps? Thank you very much, guys.

Germany, Austria and France are the traditional centers of tourism resorts, and as a result then inflated prices accordingly and one based on winter break (no pun!) can cost and arm and a leg. So I know what you mean about prices. Many Dutch friends and colleagues walk out to those places regardless year after year and put up with paying the price. We go every year to country of origin of my husband and has a house near a ski resort and it is really much cheaper: 0) However, it is a bit far to travel to France for course, so perhaps it is a consideration that also is not a glamor ski resort, so if the component "apres-ski" of things is important, then this is still in progress. There is still much work to do to bring it back to the standard that many foreign citizens have to wait Infrastructure in terms of comfort and luxury. Yet each year we see more and more houses hotels, bars, etc restaruatns under construction, so it is certainly getting there. One of my friends in Slovenia and he was talking about this last week coincidentally. Great skiing, nice resorts, frankly, are not as crowded as elsewhere, and for a cheaper price and well maintained.
