What is the difference between lycra and silicone swim cap? Which is better for use on a swim team?

SA swim team (So it does not matter so much time has a lid), silicone or lycra cap? I have both, but that makes it more streamlined. BTW, do not worry about keeping my dry hair. Also I have medium long hair and have noticed that the ends protrude from the top of Lycra. Any opinions or suggestions? Forgot to mention, the plug Silicone tends to creep up, if you get what I'm saying.

Silicon caps will usually be the most streamline, but after a while they can get uncomfortable and lycra make a like a dream: P but try putting your hair in a bun if it sticks out.
